As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, our firm's step challenge is ending as well. However, just because this special month is over, it does not mean that we cannot continue to embrace healthy behaviors designed to improve our mental health and reduce stress. Hill | Fenstermaker wants to encourange everyone to stay active and moving!

A special thanks to everyone who followed along, as well as our Mental Health and Well-Being Committee and its chairperson, Tara Weitz, for organzing this wonderful and important event.

Due to the importance of mental health awareness month, our firm is “competing” in a firm "step challenge." This is intended to boost office morale, encouraged team members to take a lunchtime walk and be conscious of their activity levels. As we are almost halfway through the month, the current leaderboard is shown below. Hill | Fenstermaker LLC wants to encourange anyone reading this post to join us in being mindful to stay active and moving, and also to follow along as our firm posts updates from our challenge!

Congratulations to Adam Fenstermaker and Tara Weitz on their recent appellate victory! The Superior Court of Pennsylvania affirmed a Wayne County Court of Common Pleas entry of summary judgment in favor of their client, a local community hospital. Adam and Tara successfully argued that the entry of summary judgment should be affirmed on two grounds: (1) that no duty was owed to the plaintiff by the hospital; and (2) the plaintiff's expert did not meet the requisite qualifications standards under MCARE Act section 512.
